Hey, adventures in this video I am sharing my Juneteenth road trip to Alabama. We drove from Atlanta which is 2.5 hours from Montgomery, Alabama.
We stayed in Staybridge Suites in downtown Alabama at 275 Lee St. Montgomery, Alabama.
They had free breakfast but you had to pay for parking. The suite was very nice and spacious.
We went to the Legacy Museum you need tickets to go and they have a shuttle that will take you to the Lynching Memorial as well.
You can take videos or pictures or take water inside the museum but you can do all that at the lynching memorial.
The museum and memorial are both emotional tear-jerkers. You can also spend all day there sometimes the hours change so I would call and check to make sure they are open.
There is also the Rosa Parks Museum & the Freedom riders museum if you have extra time in Montgomery. You can also head to Birmingham & Selma.
For Juneteenth, we went to Selma and walked the Edmund Pettus Bridge and walked it around the memorial.
I really enjoyed the history on this trip and learning more about the history.
